Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi set a goal for Japan’s economy to reach $6.8 trillion in nominal gross domestic product by the fiscal year starting in April 2040, according to Bloomberg.
Takaichi said she aims for domestic private-sector capital investment to account for about a fifth of the total as part of her push for a stronger economy.
