Iran said officials from more than 30 countries have indicated they plan to attend upcoming memorial and farewell events for the late supreme leader Ali Khamenei.
According to Jin10, the Iranian Students News Agency reported on June 30 that Pourjamshidian, secretary-general of the Iran Revolutionary Martyrs and Leaders Memorial Committee, made the remarks the same day.
Pourjamshidian said Iran will hold a series of events in the near term in Tehran, Qom, and Mashhad, as well as in some cities in Iraq.
He said coordination bodies have been established across Iran to provide services and logistical support for public participation.
He also said Iran has coordinated with Iraq and plans to hold related memorial events there.
