Australia’s crypto travel rule is set to come into force on Wednesday, adding new information requirements for transfers on locally regulated exchanges.
According to NS3.AI, from July, users will need to provide additional details for transfers, including the counterparty name and the platform name.
The report said transfers to self-custodial addresses will require users to verify and declare wallet ownership.
AUSTRAC will enforce the rule, and it will apply with no minimum value threshold.
