China’s factory activity improved more than forecast in June as exports boomed, with the official manufacturing purchasing managers’ index rising to 50.3, according to Bloomberg.
A gauge of activity in construction and services also edged up to 50.2. Erica Tay, macro research director at Maybank, discussed China’s growth and said the war in the Middle East pushed China to diversify its energy usage in an interview on Bloomberg’s Horizons Middle East and Africa.
