Paraguay President Santiago Pena declared a national holiday for Tuesday, 30 June, after Paraguay beat Germany in the World Cup last-32, according to Yahoo Sports. Julio Enciso headed Paraguay in front before Kai Havertz equalised, and a Jonathan Tah extra-time header for Germany was ruled out after a VAR review. Paraguay won the penalty shootout when Jose Canale beat Manuel Neuer, despite missing two earlier chances to clinch it. Paraguay will face either France or Sweden in the last-16 in Philadelphia on Saturday.
