GameStop said last Friday it will continue pursuing a cash-and-stock acquisition offer for eBay, even after eBay’s board previously rejected the proposal.
According to Odaily, GameStop CEO Ryan Cohen proposed the deal in May and said the combined company would be better positioned to challenge Amazon, adding that he intends to operate the new entity.
GameStop said last Tuesday it would release a detailed strategic presentation, and on Friday reiterated that additional materials related to the proposed transaction would be published soon.
