OpenAI Probes Reports of Abnormally Fast Codex Quota Depletion

OpenAI has set up a dedicated investigation team to urgently examine reports that Codex usage quotas are being consumed abnormally fast, according to 36Kr. Since last week, multiple paid ChatGPT users have reported that their weekly Codex quota fell sharply despite little to no use, with some saying their remaining quota dropped from 96% to 0% within a day. Codex product lead Tibo Sottiaux said the team opened a war room on Sunday to review system logs and carried out a second network-wide hard reset for all users after an initial reset on June 27 failed to resolve the issue.
