Hong Kong’s Trade Development Council raised its 2026 forecast for Hong Kong export growth, saying exports were expected to record at least 20% growth for the full year.
According to Jin10, the council also released its export confidence index for the second quarter of 2026, showing improvements in both core indicators.
The second-quarter “current performance index” was 51.0, while the “expectations index” was 52.4. Both readings moved back above 50, indicating that exporters’ confidence had improved despite ongoing adjustments in U.S. trade policy and continued developments in geopolitical conditions.
