Hong Kong-licensed virtual asset exchange VDX issued a statement warning the public about alleged scam activities involving impersonation of its brand.
According to Odaily, VDX said unidentified parties have illegally used the VDX name to promote a so-called “VDX App.”
VDX stated that it currently operates mainly as a B2B platform serving institutional clients and does not have any official app available to the public at this stage.
The exchange said any app, installation package, QR code, link, or third-party application claiming to be officially launched by VDX and asking users to download or use it is not issued by the company.
VDX urged users to remain alert to impersonation and related fraud.
