Iran’s military said all vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz are only permitted to use the shipping lane south of Larak Island.

According to Odaily, Iran previously said on the 28th that ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz must still coordinate with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Iran also stated that the safest route for vessels entering the Persian Gulf is south of Hormuz Island, while vessels leaving the Persian Gulf should use the lane south of Larak Island.
