China Fiber-Optic Stocks Slide Again; Yangtze Optical Fibre, Zhongtian Tech, Hengtong Close Down Up to 4%

China’s fiber-optic theme stocks fell again on June 29, with Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable (601869.SH), Zhongtian Technology (600522.SH) and Hengtong Optic-Electric (600487.SH) closing down 2.93%, 4.00% and 2.24%, respectively, according to Jiemian News. Over the past two trading days, the three stocks have fallen 8.33%, 13.6% and 12.16%.

The pullback followed recent highs, including Yangtze Optical Fibre hitting an intraday record of 600 yuan per share on June 25. The report cited recent developments including Corning’s launch of its next-generation glass optical interconnect component “Glass Bridge,” designed to connect photonic integrated circuits (PICs) with fiber, and Japan’s Fujikura raising its FY2027 (April 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027) parent net profit guidance to 229 billion yen from 156 billion yen, a 46.8% increase.

The article also cited company filings showing strong 2026 first-quarter results: Yangtze Optical Fibre reported revenue of 3.695 billion yuan and net profit attributable to shareholders of 495 million yuan; Hengtong reported revenue of 17.791 billion yuan and net profit of 1.105 billion yuan; Zhongtian reported revenue of 13.142 billion yuan and net profit of 919 million yuan.
