Moonshot AI’s Kimi enterprise (B2B) head Huang Zhenxin said that model providers have been raising prices this year because global compute costs are increasing and GPU supply—both overseas and in China—cannot keep up with token-demand growth, according to 36Kr. He said downstream enterprise demand for AI applications is surging while upstream compute supply remains tight due to chip capacity constraints, pushing API prices higher.
Huang also said there is “definitely” a bubble in the sector, but argued fundamentals are not hollow, citing his claim that Anthropic has already achieved quarterly profitability.
