PRECIOUS METALS | Shanghai Silver and Platinum Rise Over 2% as Most China Futures Open Higher

China’s most-traded domestic futures contracts opened mostly higher in early trading, with gains led by precious metals.

According to Jin10, Shanghai silver and platinum futures rose more than 2% at the open. Shanghai zinc, live hog, Shanghai tin, cast aluminum, Shanghai gold, and red date futures were each up more than 1%.

On the downside, synthetic rubber futures fell more than 2%. SC crude oil, fuel oil, eggs, No. 20 rubber, and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) futures declined more than 1%, while soda ash and styrene (EB) were down nearly 1%.
