DRAM remains the most critical bottleneck for AI infrastructure and could represent 30% to 40% of hyperscale data center capital expenditures by 2027, investor Gavin Baker said.
According to NS3.AI, Baker said the supply of AI-server DRAM is concentrated among three manufacturers: SK Hynix, Samsung, and Micron.
Baker added that these companies are the only producers capable of making DRAM suitable for AI servers, underscoring the limited supplier base for a component he described as central to scaling AI data center capacity.
