Toyota Reports May 2026 Global Output Down 5.8%, Sales Down 7.4%

Toyota Motor said on June 29 that its global production in May 2026 fell 5.8% year on year to 857,765 vehicles, while global sales declined 7.4% to 885,207 vehicles, according to 36Kr. The company said that starting in April 2026, its group reporting scope was adjusted to include only Toyota Motor and Daihatsu Motor, excluding Hino Motors.
