Robotics is becoming a major area of capital allocation, according to a post on X by Serenity, known as “White-Haired Stock God.” According to Odaily, PitchBook data from March, citing observations from a16z, showed a steep rise in both deal count and investment amounts in the robotics sector.

The post said there is a notable overlap between AI infrastructure investment and the humanoid robotics industry, with some underlying investments in AI data centers also supporting the scaling of humanoid robots. It cited examples including DRAM and NAND supporting storage and inference capabilities linked to robot memory and real-time reasoning, and DFB lasers and photonics tied to FMCW LiDAR used in robot vision and perception systems.

Serenity said current market exposure is mainly concentrated in upstream components and foundational technologies, as well as internal projects at large technology companies, including robotics and automation initiatives within ecosystems such as Amazon and Tesla.

Looking ahead, Serenity said that as the technology chain matures, pure humanoid robotics and robot hardware companies may see a global IPO window around 2027. The post added that market expectations broadly point to the second half through 2027 as a potential starting period for the securitization of robotics as a standalone asset class.
