U.S. Vice President JD Vance said Iran would face a military response if it resorts to violence, following U.S. military strikes on Iran on the 26th.
According to Odaily, Vance wrote on social media that Iran had signed a ceasefire agreement and that the United States had adhered to it. He said that if Iran has objections to how the memorandum of understanding is being implemented, it can call to communicate directly, but warned that violence would be met with force.
Earlier on the 26th, U.S. Central Command said in a statement that U.S. forces carried out strikes on Iran that day in response to an attack the previous day on a merchant ship transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
