The European Union has issued around 230 Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) licenses so far under its new regulatory regime, with Germany granting the most approvals.

According to NS3.AI, Germany has issued 56 licenses, followed by the Netherlands with 26 and France with 21.

In France, industry data cited in the report indicates that about 40% of registered crypto service providers have not applied for a MiCA license.

Industry participants said MiCA has improved market resilience, while also contributing to reduced market diversity.
