Sens. John Curtis and Adam Schiff urged the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to investigate Polymarket following a Wall Street Journal review of creator videos promoting wagers on the platform.
According to NS3.AI, the Journal found that about 70% of 1,105 creator videos showed bets that were not real.
The Journal said the wagers shown in those videos were worth about $1.9 million.
Polymarket said it plans to conduct a comprehensive audit of promotional content.
