Liquid staking protocol total value locked (TVL) fell to a two-year low of $33.4 billion in the second quarter of 2026, according to CryptoRank.
According to Foresight News, CryptoRank said on X that the figure represents a cumulative decline of 56.1% from the record high of $76.0 billion in the third quarter of 2025.
CryptoRank reported that the metric has declined for three consecutive quarters, dropping to $61.4 billion in the fourth quarter of 2025 and $45.2 billion in the first quarter of 2026 before falling further in Q2 2026.
The continued decline was described as reflecting ongoing pressure across the DeFi ecosystem.
