US chipmaker Onsemi (ON) agreed to buy Synaptics (SYNA) in an all-stock deal valuing the company at about $6.2 billion.
Microsoft (MSFT) shares fell, extending a recent selloff. The stock is down more than 20% this month, putting it on track for its biggest one-month percentage drop since December 2000.
