Chair of the Federal Reserve Kevin Warsh has appointed two senior internal economists as his advisers: Daniel Covitz and Eric Engstrom.
According to Odaily, Covitz is deputy director of the Federal Reserve’s Division of Research and Statistics, while Engstrom is assistant director of the Division of Monetary Affairs.
Covitz’s current research at the Fed includes asset bubbles and the stability of short-term credit markets.
Based on the Federal Reserve’s website, Engstrom’s work includes studying co-movements in stocks and bonds, as well as corporate profits and entrepreneurial activity.
