Oobit has connected its app to Brazil’s Pix payment system as of June 23, allowing supported cryptocurrency and stablecoin balances to be routed through Pix, a network that Banco Central do Brasil says has nearly 170 million users.
According to NS3.AI, the company said users in Brazil can send crypto to a Pix key or deposit funds via Pix.
Oobit said the integration does not mean nearly 170 million people use USDT. The company’s FAQ also notes that verification requirements, fees, limits, location, and product availability may apply.
