Metal, a settlement network for tokenized financial products founded by former Ren Protocol founder Loong Wang, has completed a seed funding round co-led by Airwallex and Capital49. According to ChainCatcher, Airwallex is also joining the project as its first design partner.
The project was co-founded by Wang and Catherine Porter, described as a former partnerships lead for the Libra project. Metal said it is building institutional-grade, full-stack infrastructure for tokenized financial products, with native support for AI agents, identity verification, and authorization.
Metal also said it plans to offer global on- and off-ramp channels covering 200 countries and 90 currencies.
