USDC said it has launched a privacy feature for USDC on Starknet, enabled through STRK20, a Starknet privacy function for ERC-20 tokens that includes built-in compliance capabilities.
According to ChainCatcher, the feature allows users to shield, send, and unshield USDC while keeping balances, transaction amounts, and counterparty information private on the public ledger.
USDC said the token remains a U.S. dollar-denominated stablecoin, and that the added privacy functionality is intended for payments, fund flows, payroll distribution, and on-chain financial activities on Starknet.
