Israeli army says it failed to intercept a drone fired from Lebanon

On June 8th, local time on the evening of June 7th, the Israel Defense Forces issued a statement confirming that it failed to intercept a drone fired from Lebanon that day. According to the Times of Israel, after the drone entered Israel, it flew to a distance of 40 kilometers from the Israeli border without triggering an Israeli air defense alarm. It was not until the Israeli army tried to intercept the drone that the alarm was raised to avoid shrapnel falling. However, the Israeli interception failed, and the drone eventually crashed into an open area without causing casualties. The Israeli army also said that earlier in the day, Israeli warplanes attacked two Lebanese Hezbollah infrastructure sites in Lebanon, and continued to fire artillery into Lebanon throughout the day on the 7th.
