U.S. net capital inflows reached a record $884 billion in the 12 months through April 2026, The Kobeissi Letter said in a post on X. According to Odaily, the measure reflects external funds entering U.S. financial markets through private investors and official institutions purchasing U.S. assets.
The Kobeissi Letter said net capital inflows have nearly tripled since early 2025. It added that the 2021 peak was about $400 billion, less than half the current level.
In April, private-sector purchases of U.S. stocks rose to $763 billion, a record high, the post said. Official institutions’ purchases increased to $121 billion and have more than doubled since the start of the year, it added.
