Anthropic urged the U.S. Congress to strengthen protections against AI model distillation after alleging that Alibaba-affiliated operators generated more than 28.8 million Claude exchanges.
According to NS3.AI, Anthropic said nearly 25,000 fraudulent accounts were used between April 22 and June 5.
Anthropic called on lawmakers to expand intelligence sharing and to tighten export controls as part of broader efforts to curb the alleged activity.
