On June 8th, the Shanghai Shipping Exchange released a weekly report on the export container transportation market on June 8th. This week, China's export container transportation market continued to maintain an overall positive market, transportation demand continued to improve, supply and demand fundamentals were solid, and freight rates in the ocean route market rose, driving the composite index to continue on an upward track. According to data released by the General Administration of Customs, in US dollar terms, China's exports increased by 7.6% year-on-year in May 2024, and the export growth rate continued to accelerate. On June 7th, the Shanghai Shipping Exchange released the Shanghai Export Container Comprehensive Freight Index of 3184.87 points, an increase of 4.6% from the previous period.
