A SemiAnalysis report said ChangXin could narrow its wafer capacity gap with Micron Technology by the end of 2026.
According to Jin10, SemiAnalysis analysts said ChangXin may produce 350,000 wafers per month by year-end, slightly below Micron’s estimated 385,000 wafers per month.
The analysts said that, if ranked only by wafer capacity, this would put ChangXin close to becoming the industry’s third-largest memory chip supplier.
They added that ChangXin still trails the two leading DRAM suppliers, Samsung and SK Hynix, by a wide margin.
The analysts also expected the company, which is preparing to go public, to post annual revenue of more than $50 billion, about five times higher than in 2025.
