Thai authorities have issued an arrest warrant for Wang Yicheng in connection with an alleged network linked to illegal cryptocurrency mining that authorities say used about $28 million worth of electricity.
According to NS3.AI, Police Major Woranan Srilam said Wang was charged in November with theft and violations of the Computer Crimes Act.
Srilam added that Wang is believed to have left Thailand.
