All 32 of the largest U.S. banks would remain above minimum capital requirements in a severe recession scenario, the Federal Reserve said Wednesday, even after more than $708 billion in projected loan losses. According to BeInCrypto, aggregate capital fell 1.6 percentage points from 12.8% to 11.2% under a scenario assuming 10% unemployment, a 39% drop in commercial real estate prices, a 30% fall in home prices, and a 58% equity market decline. The test covered banks including JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, Citigroup, Wells Fargo, Goldman Sachs, and Morgan Stanley.
