Sony to End Domestic Japan Sales of Aibo ERS-1000/W After Inventory Sells Out

Sony said on June 25 that it will stop selling its aibo smart robot dog (ERS-1000/W, ivory white model) in Japan once existing inventory is sold out, according to 36Kr. The company said the move will not affect related offerings, including aibo Basic and Premium plans, care support services, sales of accessories and parts, the My aibo app, repair services, and the aibo Dock. Sony added it will continue developing new products and services to support aibo and its users.
