AI company Mirendil announced it has completed a $200 million seed funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) and Kleiner Perkins, with participation from NVIDIA and other institutions. According to PANews, Mirendil’s founding team includes 20 researchers and engineers from Anthropic, xAI, Google DeepMind, and OpenAI.
a16z said Mirendil is building a system intended to help anyone conduct AI research and development. The firm said Mirendil is training models with specialized capabilities in frontier AI R&D and developing products around them, aiming to create a system that can autonomously iterate on research engineering problems and continue advancing without human intervention.
