Trip.com Group (9961) reported a 41.5% year-on-year drop in first-quarter net profit attributable to Trip.com Group Ltd to RMB2.499 billion, according to Ming Pao.
Adjusted earnings per ADS were RMB5.73, below the market expectation of RMB6.09. Adjusted EBITDA rose 14% year-on-year to RMB4.83 billion, above the market forecast of RMB4.66 billion.
The company expects second-quarter net revenue growth to slow to about 3% to 8% year-on-year, which it said would have a corresponding impact on quarterly margins and earnings performance.
