Sonic has canceled this year's scheduled additional issuance of its S token, which the project said was worth about $950,000 at current prices. According to NS3.AI, the canceled issuance would have increased supply by 47.625 million S tokens per year.
Sonic said it is still reviewing how to fund validator rewards used to support network security.
