Novo Nordisk’s Executive Vice President of US Operations Jamey Millar said the company is preparing for the upcoming CMS bridge program that will affect Medicare beneficiaries’ access to obesity treatments, according to Bloomberg.
Millar said it is unclear whether patient volume will surge immediately or build gradually after the program’s July 1 rollout, adding that Novo Nordisk is working to educate healthcare providers and pharmacists on patient eligibility.
