ASML and the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research (TNO) announced a partnership to jointly develop and industrialize photonic chips.
According to Jin10, the collaboration will center on a photonic chip pilot production line that TNO is building at the Eindhoven High Tech Campus in the Netherlands.
ASML will provide manufacturing technology support in phases, including DUV and i-line lithography equipment.
After the project begins operations, the facility is expected to have mass-production capability for 6-inch indium phosphide (InP) photonic chips.
