China’s A-share benchmarks traded mixed by midday, with the ChiNext Index up 0.42%.
According to Jin10, the market remained rangebound in morning trading, and at the midday close the Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.25% while the Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.33%.
Semiconductor shares strengthened, with JCET Group among stocks hitting the daily limit. Lithium mining-related names were active, including Yongshan Lithium, which also hit the daily limit. CXO-related stocks advanced, with WuXi AppTec among those reaching the daily limit.
Other gainers included fluorine-related stocks, building materials, and chemical fiber sectors. Decliners included grain-related stocks, tourism, media and entertainment, and daily-use chemicals.
Total turnover across the market exceeded 2 trillion yuan in the first half of the session.
