Litecoin could surprise ahead of its next halving

Litecoin (LTC) may be nearing a cyclical bottom and could outperform the broader crypto market ahead of its fourth reward halving around July 27, 2027, according to CoinDesk, citing a historical pattern of LTC bottoming 6-12 months before prior halvings. LTC bottomed near $40 in late June 2022, rallied to about $114 by July 2023, then slipped toward $80 into the Aug. 2, 2023 halving; it also rose more than 40% in November 2022 during FTX’s collapse. Separately, LitVM has processed over 63 million transactions since an April testnet launch, with total wallets above 4.4 million.
