Amazon Plans India’s Largest “Minutes Delivery” Network, Expanding Amazon Now to 300+ Cities

Amazon said on June 24 that it plans to build India’s largest “minutes delivery” network and expand its ultra-fast delivery service, Amazon Now, to more than 300 cities nationwide, according to 36Kr. The company also launched a dedicated program called “Sammaan” aimed at improving the welfare of tens of thousands of delivery workers supporting its e-commerce and express logistics operations. Amazon said part of its recently announced $300 million investment plan in operations and employee benefits in India will be used to strengthen and scale the Sammaan program.
