A Hong Kong court has scheduled an August 19 hearing for a judicial review brought by China Evergrande Group’s liquidators challenging a deal facilitated by the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), according to Ming Pao, citing Bloomberg.
The liquidators are seeking to halt a settlement agreement reached between the SFC and PwC Hong Kong under which PwC would pay HK$1 billion in compensation to Evergrande’s eligible independent shareholders.
