SoftBank Group Chairman Masayoshi Son said on June 24 that SoftBank Corp is still a “major candidate” among several companies considering an equity investment in Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings (TEPCO), according to 36Kr. Son added that if the investment goes through, SoftBank should build AI data centers in Japan.
