Wintermute said bitcoin and ether are grinding toward the lower end of their recent ranges as summer liquidity thins and macro headlines weigh, according to CoinDesk. Its OTC desk cited last week’s hawkish Fed and stop-start Iran headlines, with options implying a tight 24-hour range of $61,242-$63,563 for BTC and $1,606-$1,694 for ETH. Wintermute flagged $59,000 as a key support level to watch. It pointed to three week-ahead catalysts: a U.S.-Iran peace deal and whether it holds, Thursday’s PCE inflation print, and month-end quarterly options expiry.
