Lightning Labs has released Taproot Assets v0.8 along with an accompanying software development kit (SDK), adding new tooling aimed at enabling stablecoin functionality on the Bitcoin network. According to ChainCatcher, the updated SDK is designed to help developers integrate Bitcoin-based stablecoin features more quickly.
The company said the new version adds backup and recovery capabilities, multi-asset liquidity controls, and faster proof verification. Lightning Labs said the changes are intended to improve infrastructure efficiency and reiterated its view that a multi-asset future on Bitcoin is emerging.
