Mike Sommers, president of the American Petroleum Institute, said the US Strategic Petroleum Reserve should not be used for political purposes, according to Bloomberg.
Sommers, speaking on Bloomberg’s “Balance of Power” about the American Energy Security Framework, also said the reserve is “in desperate need of upgrading.”
