Vaulted CEO David McAlvany said Bitcoin could go away within four years, arguing that advances in quantum computing could make the blockchain cease to exist. According to NS3.AI, McAlvany linked the risk to the possibility that quantum computing could undermine the security assumptions that support Bitcoin’s network.

Goldman Sachs raised its 2026 gold target to $5,400 in January.
