Louis Navellier, an analyst at Navellier & Associates, said Fed Chair Kevin Warsh appears inclined to change the Federal Reserve’s policy narrative by setting up internal working groups to better anticipate inflation and monitor productivity growth that is not inflationary. According to Jin10, Navellier wrote in a report that changing the Fed’s narrative would take time, so Warsh is starting at the staff level.
Navellier said the new policy narrative could begin to show up in future Beige Book surveys.
At a news conference last week, Warsh announced that the Fed was forming multiple working groups to study topics including communications, the balance sheet, data sources, productivity and employment, and inflation.
