Nethermind and UBS completed two proof-of-concept tests aimed at enabling regulated banks and asset managers to apply compliance controls while using a public, permissionless Ethereum network without changing the Ethereum protocol itself.
According to ChainCatcher, the tests on Ethereum’s Sepolia testnet validated a node design that can enforce customized compliance rules on outbound transactions and a separate component that routes pre-approved transaction bundles to specific block builders.
The parties said the work involved no real-fund transactions.
