Ticket reseller StubHub has been fined £900,000 for failing to show fans the total price upfront when buying tickets, according to BBC. Following an investigation by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), more than 50,000 customers are expected to receive refunds for hidden fees, with the average payout set to be around £10 per transaction. The CMA said StubHub would contact fans about their refund, and the regulator’s executive director of consumer protection, Emma Cochrane, said “hitting customers with hidden fees is illegal.”
